Pure Future 2006

Great track played by M.A.N.D.Y and probably the other Get Physical boys. If anyone has an ID for this one...would be nice.
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop (Slane 03)

That's why...one more to finish off. (And there are actually 20 more worth it)

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Parallel Universe (Live)

While we're busy, i'll post this one up aswell. To prove they can actually play their difficult songs. Because I know, some people say they don't impress on a stage. But hello...This has been around for a while now, right? Still rockin' the entire world!
Castles Made Of Sand

As a big fan of both the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jimmy Hendrix, and as an ode to Hillel Slovak the original guitarist of RHCP who influenced a young Johnny Frusciante (as seen in the video) and shows big respect to Jimmy by playing this classic.

Richie Hawtin @ Mint 08.12.06 Pt.1 by Berger Muzik

What's going on here. The people who don't know what the hell he's doing, some notes: Richie is using his allen & heath: xone 92 mixer which he co-designed for a&h himself. 2 laptops, one running ableton live, the other final scratch. He also has a loopmachine called the soundbite. That's about it.

Real Life Simpsons Intro

I had to post this one. The Simpsons...One of my major schoolmemories.

Movies, moments and more...:)

Some may seem to like him, others hate him. And that's what a recent poll shows us in the US and A. According to USA Today/Gallup the american actor was chosen "most annoying movie star". No surprise since he recently lost his mind. Leave him I would say because I think he's just sick.

Other big surprises are Angelina Jolie (Who lost his mind?) Robert De Niro and a few others.

But Tom had some nice moments.
Here's a top 5:

(Btw this is Tom Cruise. He looks like an old man here but it's his stupid laugh you should blame.)

1.Magnolia (1999)

An epic movie about life and relationships. Magnolia's many characters interweave throughout the movie's many subplots to create a blur. Tom cruise plays Frank TJ Mackey, a sex guru, who is crude, fake and frank. The closest he ever got playing a real life character.

2.Collateral (2004)

Michael Mann's recent hit Miami Vice was good. But imo this was even better. Tom Cruise plays a hitman, Vincent, who uses a cab driver (Jamie Foxx) to drive him to his killing destinations. Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx deliver fine chemistry, and it shows their conversations on life and work.

3.Top Gun (1986)

Oldie but goodie. Great entertainment value. Dialogues are a bit girly but fun (sorry girls).

4.Minority Report (2002)

One of my personal favourites (maybe he's ranked 2 low). His first one together with Steven Spielberg. One of the best sci-fi action films to come out lately. Great sfx and plot.

5. > I can't choose between
Born On The Fourth Of July and Eyes Wide Shut. You decide. (Or maybe the original Mission Impossible wasn't that bad afterall, and how could I ever forget Interview with the vampire with Tom as Lestat.)

Richie Hawtin at Industrial Copera y: EL TEMA

Looking forward to this one. All the minimal boys and girls are playing this promo by Jpls vs Skoozbot. Minimal soft and boring? Nah, Jacking and funky!!!

Techno, house and emotions.

Sunday, December 10

Hey there,

This one is gonna stay. And I don't say it to often so mark my words. I discovered this young label when I bought my first Gebrueder Ton record about a year ago. They combine the up to date minimal sound with beautifully arranged synths with feelings. Warm, deep, techno and house all in one.

Solomun - Gebruder Ton

"Because it was so much fun the last time Solomun & Gebruder Ton are doing it again. As always they are back on the dancefloor just in time with their track "Tagesschau" (Daily News) full of magic strings over a gnarfy bassline. Flanked by a monster- Jackmate- remix that will please every dancers heart, followed by "Nachtjournal" (Late night news), Solomuns definition of Chicago House."

Warm, beautifull, funky...Tagesschau has it all. Played by Anja Schneider, Dinky, Deepchild, Fabrice Lig, James Flavour, Frank Lorber, Karotte, Laurent Garnier, Matthias Meyer, Mathias Kaden, Matias Aguayo, Sasse, Trickski, Woody,...and the Circus Club dj's.

The Jackmate remix is the one...

OK Go - Here It Goes Again

If you haven't seen it. Here is your chance. Amazing cheap production. Fuck all those big spenders. Great song by the way.

DC10 Terrace

Again, Dreamz...You have to imagine the people doing this sit down jump up thing in every break of the entire evening (Well not every...)

It's inspiration.

Circus Club is a copy...I know. But living up to the orginal idea of circoloco is a good thing. If we ever come close to the atmosphere that's at Dc 10 club on a Monday morning, I think you could say you've experienced one of the wildest parties around. Dreamz....

Circoloco is spanish:translation > Crazy circus. So let's hope we get the right people at the right time to party in the right kind of atmosphere. People should enjoy theirselves more. Over here in Turnhout (next to Beerse for all you uninvited people) it ain't all good, and that's the truth. Getting people together and dance to underground techno and house is our job. So please check back in the future. We might throw a party nearby.

Some more info about Circoloco Ibiza:

Every Monday morning from June to October hedonistic clubbers are lured to DC10 for the carnival-like atmosphere of Circo Loco, the all-day long afterhours started by Italians Antonio and Andrea Pelino back in 1999. Circo Loco means crazy circus and it's the party where the beautifully wasted come together in Ibiza. Besides the colourful characters (some might even say caners) who make Circo Loco what it is, there are also its resident DJs who spin underground house and techno alongside the international guest DJs who hound Andrea and co. for an invitation to play.

If you think about it...Well don't.

It won't be even close to what the real thing is all about.

To make it a bit more specific and less dull.
Some craziness:

From the left to the right: Mister Locodice, Crazy Luciano, and Tania (resident) Vulcano
(Did you ever see that amount of people in a dj booth? At least they're having fun instead of annoying the dj by turning nobs or bla...)

Richie and Ricardo havin' it at Dc 10

Circus Club online !!!

Wednesday, November 29

This is how the new logo (offline-updated soon) looks like. I'm probably adding a 'circus' element in the future. Clowns and stuff, madness, you know...But I'm no designer in every single way. So pls give us a break.
Troy Pierce @ Nachtdigital 2006

No words...I hope one day I can shoot a video like this at one of the forthcoming Circus Club parties.
James Holden playing some polyphony @ Pukkelpop 2006

Well, this week is starting off with some video footage about what it's all about...Madness !!!

Circus club declares war, and a big welcome...

Wednesday, November 8
Hiya there...

Bringing birth to a new blog: Let me start at the start...

Caution: This might sound a bit boring at the beginning.

I'm excited about this new blog, and I hope everybody soon gets as excited as me. It's not that clear where blogs are all about, but I guess that's what people are looking for: A persons view on the world could I say, uncensored and pure. But this blog is a bit different. Not from all of the others, altough it has some history. A year ago I started a blog called Blue Friday. BF was about my life and other things. But also it was an online advertising 'campagne' :) for parties we (= the BF residents) play at in this shithole called Turnhout (In the future I might be referring to it as: shithole, place like this, T-wood, Twatwood, village, farmers place,...)

Just to mention: the people maintaining this new blog are 3 dj's.

Sad story as it was, it was great :) For a year we had some very nice nights out at a small bar: Café Wirwar I shared some stories and pictures about those nights and other stuff on the old blog. Check the old blog here But every story has an end. And so did BF.

So, what the hell is this blog?

Well, it's gonna be similar to the old one. I must say I've worked hard the last weeks to prepare for this blog. So expect some cool graphics, alot of pictures, movies... Circus Club will set new standards for us in the first place and hopefully for you and all the partypeople to experience a night out with tons of happy-joy-joy feelings and good music. We intend to play the best records in underground music and play all of these goodies for all of our friends, you and everybody that is close to what Circus Club will stand for. Minimal, Techno, House and Elektro...Or electronic music in general. This blog comes in a new structure, because I remember I've had some troubles posting in the past. I have so much to tell. But I'm not always sure when and then forget what I wanted to post in the first time. As always you will be free to add comments by a simple click on comment.

Please pay attention to the nice color schemes, letterfonts and interesting links.

What iz you gonna read

Telling the story of the weekend. Everybody works, studies, lives in a top notch loft or a nice small appartment being happy and all. So the weekend is always in the right time. At ease, crazy, laidback, over the top...We all deserve it in some way. And music is our guide here in Circus Club. We attend a lot of cool parties with trendy people and crazy alternative guys'n girls. Every now and then we'll do the best we can to not show you too much, but enough for all the readers to know what was going on the those 48 hours (yes, a weekend is that short) Also we'll probably review the dj's and venues we go to, the records we played last weekend, some pictures and movies. No Big Brother propaganda by the way. Voyeurs surf Here

The weekend being fresh in our memories. Ready for some new music that top our charts? Well here it is: Our top 4,8,10, 35 of the week. At random by our bloggers: Moonwick, Mike-E and me l'Adique. Sometimes we'll be adding nice recordartwork, reviews and other things we think are great. Including classix, cd's and more.

Mayor Quimby dedicated one day in the week to be the 'official movies and series and other things you should watch - day' Reviews, toughts, youtubes, prison break...Also funny things like cartoons and stuff.

Because in the beginning there was Jack, and jack had a groove, and from this groove came the groove of all grooves. But actually I think the writer of this great line wasn't sober. Because before house music and more important, right now besides house music: There's pop, disco, jazz, rock, punk, metal, ragga, reggae, soul, funk, blues, country, classic, hiphop and probably a whole bunch of other things we'd like to share with you. Ps: This has nothing to do with Blue Friday.

Bloody hell, the weekend is about to hit you in the face. With an agenda, some interesting links to websites and the most important thing: forthcoming CircusClub events and goodies. Also we brag about our own updated profiles on myspace, our own dj-schedules. friendly gigs, support...Very serious, my apprentice, this day will be.

Dries aka l'Adique

Michiel aka Mike-E

Jan aka Moonwick
